The Undergraduate Research Conference offers students a competitive campus-wide forum in which to present the results of their undergraduate research projects. The Office of Undergraduate & Graduate Studies invites all students to participate in this conference.

The conference will include oral and poster sessions. Each session will be divided into the following four categories.
I. Natural Sciences
II. Engineering
III. Social Sciences/Humanities
IV. Management & Information Systems
Cash prizeswill be awarded for oral and poster sessions in each category.
The Deadline for Entries is April 1, 2005!

(Students participating in the oral session are required to submit an abstract and a research paper with their entry form. Students participating in the poster session are required to submit an abstract with their entry form.)
Preliminary Conference Schedule
Guidelines for Preparing Oral & Poster Presentations
Missouri S&T faculty members will serve as judges for this competition. Judging will be based on composition, achievement and presentation. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be awarded for the oral and poster sessions in each of the categories. 1st Place- $750 |
Guidelines for Preparing Oral & Poster Presentations Oral Session Students participating in the oral session are required to submit an abstract and a research paper with their entry form. Students can download a copy of the research paper guidelines below. Each student will have a 30 minute time slot. Students will be limited to 15 minutes for their oral presentations and 5-10 minutes for questions and discussion. The remaining time will be available for wrap-up and transition. Audio-visual equipment (including a microphone and projector) will be available, if needed. Download: Research Paper Guidelines Poster Session Students participating in the poster session are required to submit an abstract with their entry form. Students can download a copy of the poster requirements below. Students giving poster presentations must be present at the location of their poster for an assigned 30 minute time period. During this time, students will be required to give a 15 minute presentation on their research poster and answer questions from the judges and conference attendees.
